Back patched, new sculpted sections, head crack cleaned and filled. Custom color and varnish sheen match to original paint at nape of neck. Hair color matched for small crack. I preserve as much of the original paint and varnish as possible which is why the custom colorization is so critical. I really detest all over "repaint" spray color on these wonderful old antiquities and so "paint-in-between" original sections to match the new with the old. It's more special effects refinishing than just a new paint job. The restored dolls look like themselves, just "repaired". |
